QUICK REFERENCE OPERATING INSRUCTIONS
PISTON/PLUNGER/ROLLER PUMP SERIES - First, make sure the pump is in proper working condition, i.e. gas, and oil levels, parts intact, etc. *Use 30 wt. Detergent Oil in engine and 90wt gear oil in gear reduction.
- Connect inlet hose. Unit may be suction, gravity, or force fed.
Connect 8 foot high pressure hose to the outlet piping. Open the outlet ballvalve. Start motor.
- To preset test pressure or conduct a simulated test on unit, place a ballvalve on end of outlet hose and leave open. Start motor. Bleed air from system, thru hosebib or needlevalve. Close ballvalve on end of outlet hose and begin to build pressure. To adjust pressure relief valve turn clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease.
- When ready to begin test connect outlet hose to test environment.
- Open outlet ballvalve and unit will begin building pressure.
- Open needle valve or hose bib to bleed excess air from piping.
- Once pressure is met, and the air is bled from the system, close the ball valve on the unit, and turn off the engine/motor. Allow the test pump and the tested line to sit, holding pressure for your required test time.
